Summer Vacation Extended In Delhi Schools As Heat Wave Continues

The Delhi government has extended the summer vacation for students of up to Class 8 at government and private schools in the city until July 8 in view of the hot weather conditions. However, this order is not applicable for students from classes 9 to 12, who will have to go by the original schedule.

"In view of the hot weather in Delhi, the summer vacation for students up to class 8 is being extended till July 8. For other classes, the schools will reopen as per the earlier schedule," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, said in a tweet.
