8 Ways To Make Sure Your Day Starts Well (That DON'T Involve Green Tea)

How do you think the phrase "I woke up on the wrong side of the bed" originated? It came into being because your morning DOES determine how the rest of your day goes, unless, of course, something drastic happens that turns your day around. Wellness experts, as well as successful people, place a lot of emphasis on starting their day well. If you Google the morning routine of your favourite actress, you WILL find it, and you'll discover that it involves feel-good things. That's because that's how you want to feel in the morning - GOOD. But, are meditation, green tea, and avocado toast and the likes the only way to feel good? What if you actually don't like the taste of green tea, or can't afford avocado, or feel more sleepy than awake from meditation? Does that mean you can't start off your day right? No, of course not. What is important is to begin the day such that it leaves you in a good mood, and that can happen with many things!


Here are 8 fun ways to do that. Of course, this list is not exhaustive, and you may find other things fun. But, it's a start: 

1. Race or workout with a friend, because many of us are more motivated when we have good company pushing us! 

2. Play with your pet, or strays if you don't have one. Animal energy is among the most positive in the world! 

3. Put the most upbeat music you can find on full blast. And maybe jump on your bed?

4. Dance to your favourite song (s). It's best done in front of a full length mirror.

5. Sing in the shower, using your shampoo bottle as a mic and all that jazz!

6. Go out to your favourite cafe for your morning cup of coffee. If you prefer tea, find a thela around your house, and chat up morning joggers as you sip on your cuppa.

7. Create something - write, paint, cook. Whatever gets your intellectual juices flowing!

8. Have sex. If you don't have someone else to make love to, make love to your own self!
